本作は、海外で人気のゲーム「Bubsy」シリーズ最新作となるアクションゲームです。
「BIT.TRIP RUNNER」のデベロッパーChoice Provisionsによって開発されているとのこと。
「Bubsy」シリーズは日本での知名度は高くはないもの、『やまねこバブジーの大冒険』というタイトルでスーパーファミコン版が発売されたことがあります。
