「第21回D.I.C.E. アワード」が、米国ネバダ州ラスベガスで2月22日(現地時間)に開催されました。
以前もお伝えしましたが、これまでゲーム業界に多大な貢献をしてきた任天堂の特別顧問・竹田玄洋氏に「第21回D.I.C.E. アワード生涯功労賞」を贈られています。
竹田氏は、ニンテンドウ64やゲームキューブ、Wiiなどのハードウェア開発を主導したことで知られていて、アーケード版の『パンチアウト!!』などゲームソフト開発も担っていました。

なお、他の賞については、多くの任天堂関連のタイトルが選ばれたようです。
『ゼルダの伝説 ブレス オブ ザ ワイルド』は、アドベンチャーゲーム・オブ・ザ・イヤー、ゲーム・オブ・ザ・イヤーを含む合計4つの賞を受賞しました。
